Boys' Soccer Update

The Nokomis boy's soccer team lost a tough game last Thursday here at home against Lawrence. The final score in the end was 2-0. The Bulldogs paced themselves in their victory, getting one goal in each half of play.
The game proved even closer than the score indicated. Wayne May was phenomenal in goal, as he stood on his head for most of the afternoon in order to keep his team in the game. Ben Badeen, Cody Haverly- Jhondro, and Jordan Woodbury put forth strong efforts offensively.
The Lawrence defense was the deciding factor in the outcome however, as they were able to put a stop to the frontline of Nokomis. Most importantly, the Warriors maintained a no-quit attitude throughout the game.
Nokomis fell to 1-9 last week while the bulldogs from Fairfield improved their record to 3-6-1.
